My name is Anastasiia Kartasheva and I'm in 8th grade. I really enjoy building, especially with legos. I also like to read books, mostly fiction. One of my favorite books is Legend by Marie Lu. I like how it has points of view from both characters and their emotions when they are experiencing the same thing. I’ve always liked to doodle random things on paper. The DreamUp project really pushed me to work harder and research more. This project was the hardest I've ever worked on. I spent everyday trying to find as much information as I could, emailing people, and asking my mom for help.

My name is Ike Cohn, I enjoy building computers, robots and other S.T.E.M. activities. I also enjoy sports such as lacrosse, football (irongrid/american), and baseball. The final things I enjoy are video games and anime such as naruto, bleach, and demon slayer. The DreamUp project seemed like such a big opportunity for me, as I am very passionate about S.T.E.M and space exploration. I was inspired by my dad, who had taught me a lot about activated charcoal beforehand, so I wanted to do this project based on that. I am also very excited about the opportunity to connect to professionals and people in the community. I want to thank my family for inspiring me to do this, especially my dad.

Working on my prior DreamUp project with lavender and unfortunately not getting picked, really influenced me to apply for team activated charcoal and help the team make it where they need.

I am Liam Lane of Colorado Skies Academy. I am in 7th grade, and I live in Arvada Colorado. I enjoy white water kayaking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. One of my favorite things to do is play video games with my friends.
One of my biggest aspirations is to become a pilot. This school encouraged me to pursue my dream. I am part of the Young Eagles program( the very start of any young pilots career) and was given the chance to pilot an aircraft with Major General Barry.
The DreamUp to Space project helped fuel my inspiration for space and gravity. I find gravity and how it affects different objects intriguing and fascinating. I believe this project will help me learn new things, find new inspirations and overall be a challenging rewarding experience.
