Message from the Directors

Colorado SKIES Academy Families,

It was another fantastic week of learning and growing at CSA! The 6th-grade learners are finishing up their sustainability presentations, and it’s been amazing to see their growth in knowledge and confidence as they’ve worked through the content. We are starting to see some of the bird models from our 7th graders for their birds and flight project, and we can’t wait to see it all come together for their Presentation of Learning very soon! 8th graders continue their hard work on energy conservation and sustainability, and we’re hearing a lot of discussion about the latest book they are reading October Sky. We continued our daily facts in honor of Black History Month, and all of the learners seemed to really enjoy the Chinese New Year activities throughout the week.

As mentioned last week, CSA learners have started a Cultural Awareness Club that meets after school on Fridays. Everyone enjoyed watching the Hidden Figures movie last Friday, and we can’t wait to celebrate the next cultural activity with everyone!

A friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, February 19th, in honor of Presidents Day. We hope that everyone has a terrific long weekend, and we look forward to welcoming learners back to school on Tuesday!

Have a great week!

In gratitude,

Directors Coryell and Motley
