Message from Directors Coryell and Motley

Dear Colorado SKIES Academy Families,

A group of 7th and 8th-grade learners recently went on an exciting trip to the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Learners were selected for this opportunity based on their outstanding project presentation skills, academic prowess, behavioral conduct, and depth of knowledge in both the math and science curriculum. Learners had the unique opportunity to visit the Charge Center for Hybrid Automotive Research and Green Energy and the Mechatronics Engineering Lab. They experienced a diverse range of engineering fields, ranging from torsion testing, load testing, and robotics to automotive engineering, all of which expanded their knowledge and understanding of potential future studies and careers.

Gratitude to Subba Pratti, CSA science facilitator for organizing this international journey filled with informative lectures, interactive labs, and practical experiments! Colorado SKIES Academy is proud to provide its learners with enriching experiences and we look forward to organizing more transformative trips.

Please read the articles in this week’s message including information about the upcoming CSA field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, a new CSA fundraising opportunityand details about upcoming CSA events.

In gratitude,
Directors Coryell and Motley
