Colorado SKIES Academy Families,

What an exciting week at CSA! Our 8th graders experienced a Career Fair and received very positive feedback on the questions and interactions they had. The CSA girls went to the Transportation & Construction GIRL Day on Thursday to get hands-on experiences and interactions with industry professionals. The CSA boys went to SkateCity on Thursday for an afternoon of skating fun. We hope you enjoy this slideshow capturing the week’s activities.

Our CSA families and facilitators ended the week with Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) meetings on Thursday afternoon and Friday. If you weren’t able to schedule time on these days, please reach out to your learner’s advisory facilitator to set up a time convenient for both of you. You can find our staff’s contact information here.

As communicated last week, the official October Count Day is on Tuesday, October 1st. This is the day that CSA’s state and federal funding is determined based on the exact number of learners at school on October 1st. More information about the process can be found here.

Please be sure to read the articles in this week’s Flight Path that include details on completing the required CSA Residency Information Form, Nurse Mallory’s Corner, and school picture ordering from DR Photo.

Please also browse CSA’s Community Calendar for details on upcoming events monthly CSA board meetings, Wingman for a Day events where interested middle school students can shadow a current CSA learner for the morning, and more! You’ll also find information about the many aviation-focused events happening soon at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight!

Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. We’re always here to support you and your learner and are excited to soar to new heights together!
