Colorado SKIES Academy learners are in the process of completing their second of three MAP Growth assessments from NWEA MAP. MAP testing will occur again in May. Growth scores help facilitators check learner performance by measuring achievement and growth. Individual learners and facilitators use results to help create ILPs (Individualized Learning Plans) for each CSA learner and track growth throughout the year. All learners will participate in Math, Reading, Science and Language Arts assessments.
This week, each learner will bring home a Family Report for you to review. These results will provide a complete picture of what your learner knows and is ready to learn — whether it is on, above, or below their grade level. It also measures growth over time, allowing you to track your student’s progress throughout the school year and across multiple years. For more information, visit the MAP website.
Colorado SKIES Academy is ready and available to provide support for your learner with a variety of interventions from after school tutoring to the Mobymax path. Please reach out to your learner’s advisory facilitator or the office staff if you are interested in knowing more about MAP assessment or extended learning opportunities.
