This week, we want to celebrate how our learners have embraced leadership roles at Colorado SKIES Academy. Our learners provide daily announcements, take new families on guided tours through the building, and have planned and organized dances, events and celebrations.
Most recently, we have the ambassadors program facilitated by Jenna Kapp. The ambassador program is aimed at each grade level to help encourage leadership in students and provide opportunities for them to build the community of CSA. Each grade level has chosen a different task to focus on, from fundraisers to collaborating on assemblies, as well as planning school events. This is a great opportunity to help learners take ownership of their school and how to better support one another.
Our learners will be celebrating Valentine’s Day by selling candy grams. This fundraiser is headed by our 8th grade ambassadors and includes the opportunity for learners or parents to send a card and lollipop for Valentine’s Day. Our 8th grade ambassadors will be available to help write these messages before school, during lunch/recess, and during advisory. The candy grams will be available for purchase for $1 for both items and will be delivered during the school day on Monday, February 14. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase a fun activity for the learners in the school. Please come and help support our 8th grade learners in celebrating their friends!
Sincerely,
Anne Wodetzki
