CSA Families,
The Colorado SKIES Academy School Accountability Committee will be hosting an evening sharing important information as well as providing the opportunity for your feedback and discussion. We hope you will be able to join us for our Town Hall on March 8 from 6-7:30 PM in the CSA Village. This will be an in-person event. We would like to invite parents and learners to participate.
Please RSVP for this event HERE.
Although we are experiencing sub-zero temperatures right now, spring break is right around the corner! Thank you to everyone for their cautious driving around our campus while the road conditions have been less than ideal. Speaking of the cold temperatures, I want to provide a quick reminder that when the temperature is 20 degrees or above, we will be outside during lunch recess. So, please ensure that your learner is leaving the house each morning with appropriate clothing for the weather.
With spring also comes state standardized testing. As you may recall, last year the Colorado Department of Education decreased testing requirements, so that learners were only assessed in one content area at each grade level. With the return to full in-person instruction this year, we will return to the full battery of CMAS assessments. The results from these standardized assessments are used as a common measuring tool for students in grades 6-8 across the state, as well as a common data point to monitor our academic progress at CSA. We will provide more communication about the CMAS assessment in the upcoming weeks. Even though it is just over five weeks away, we wanted to get this information on your radar now. P
Sincerely,
Anne Wodetzki
