During this holiday season, I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every family. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership at Colorado SKIES Academy. We wish you and your family Happy Holidays.
This month, our learners have been busy serving others. We are so proud of our learners as they have contributed to the Month of Caring Project by connecting and supporting charities and nonprofit organizations.
We celebrate:
8th Grade
Creating cards for children that will go to Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital
Care packages for Veterans: donations of prepackaged sweets for the unit we have adopted overseas and holiday cards
Peer tutors for CSA sixth-grade students
Grade 7
Organized a schoolwide food drive supporting the local food bank. You can also support the drive by sending canned goods to CSA, Dec.13 through Jan. 14
Grade 6
Creating a school recycling program
Sharing anonymous notes of kindness to CSA learners and staff
Making no-sew pet blankets for the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley. If anyone could bring in donations of old T-shirts or fleece to help with this, it would be greatly appreciated!
Learners will be collecting books for Aurora Children’s Hospital Campus
Donating brand new books for patients to Children’s hospital
As always, please let me know if I can assist you in any way.
