Flight Crew Spotlight: Zachary Leins, Science & Mathematics Facilitator

My name is Zachary Leins, and I was born and raised in Littleton, CO. I attended CU Boulder and graduated with a degree in Integrative Physiology. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends. Two of my passions include science and dance. I have dissected cadavers (dead bodies) in Anatomy Lab at CU Boulder and have performed at Latin dance festivals.

What is it about Colorado SKIES Academy that attracted me to pursue working there?

From the very first time I heard about Colorado SKIES Academy, I was excited. I heard firsthand how thrilled people were about this school, and I had to apply. Thankfully, I was accepted! I am very excited to continue my teaching career at Colorado SKIES Academy.

What would learners be surprised to know about me?

My uncle and grandpa were Navy pilots. My grandpa flew a PBY and was present at Pearl Harbor during the attack on December 7th, 1941. My uncle flew the E2-Hawkeye and was stationed on the USS Lexington.
