Message from the Director, Suzanne Acheson

Hi Colorado SKIES Academy Learners, Families and Greater Community!

As I write this letter, I am pleased to share we are now fully staffed with all of our facilitators at every grade level.  We have a dynamic group of educators ready to provide excellent project-based learning with an aviation and aerospace focus that is uniquely Colorado SKIES Academy!

For those of you who have already completed the two forms included in the Back to School packet, thank you. For those of you who still have additional documents to provide, along with the Technology Agreement and Home Language Survey, please complete these items as soon as possible. If, for some reason, you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from doing so within the next week or so, please reach out to Bri Jones, our Office Manager/Registrar, so she can work with you individually. She will be back in the office on Monday, July 22nd. Every family’s circumstance is different, and we acknowledge and will support you in every way we can.

It is my sincere hope that I have the opportunity to meet with many of you at our Parent Forum – Q&A session on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight.  We have a second Parent Forum scheduled for Tuesday, August 6th, if this date does not work in your schedule. I look forward to answering your questions and having the opportunity to meet you and your learner(s)!

Kind Regards,
Suzanne E. Acheson, M. Ed.
