Message from Zach Vine, Director of Staff and Learner Programs

Dear Colorado SKIES Academy Parents and Supporters,

Can you believe that we’re just one month away from taking flight? I’m so excited about the opening of Colorado SKIES Academy, and I’m thrilled by the highly-qualified, expert team of facilitators who will be leading the aerospace and aviation themed project-based learning. CSA facilitators will guide and support our learners as they collaborate on authentic, real-world projects, most of which will culminate with a celebratory presentation of learning, or POL. During POLs, our learners share their project work with the public by explaining, displaying, and presenting it to their families and other important guests of the Colorado SKIES Academy school community. These POLs are an essential element of high-quality project-based learning, and they also serve as a wonderful opportunity for the CSA community to come together in support of our learners and our school. You’ll be hearing lots more about POLs throughout the school year, and I look forward to seeing you at CSA’s very first POL event later on this fall.

If you have any questions about project-based learning or the CSA curriculum, please don’t hesitate to contact me at zach.vine@coloradoskiesacademy.org. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Warm Regards,

Zach Vine
