Hello CSA families,
In August 2024, when I started with CSA, we participated in two drone soccer tournaments. We proudly placed 3rd both times, even while facing some tough competition. We are the only active middle school team in the area and hope to see some new middle school teams popping up soon. This means that our competition has been mainly high school ages teams with pilots who have many years experience. Our equipment is performing well as we learn to fly, repair, and program our drones and radios, and we continue to make adjustments for individual pilots.
Looking ahead, we have several upcoming tournaments and fun flight nights planned as we prepare for the World competition in April in Florida. Our current fundraiser is going smoothly, and each pilot is gaining valuable knowledge and skills. We have observed a significant improvement in our pilot’s abilities, as they complete obstacle courses and practice skills that will serve them well in future career opportunities.
Most importantly, CSA Top Drone has been an exciting team for the pilots and we are dedicated to enjoying and learning from other teams.
