As we continue our planning for the 2023-24 school year, we would like to investigate changing our daily bell schedule – specifically, changing the start and release times and eliminating the early release on Fridays. This is not a change we are suggesting lightly, and you can see our fundamental reasoning for suggesting this change below.
- Many families struggle to pick up their learners at 1:15 pm every Friday, which leads to a lot of missed school.
- Learners tend to perceive Fridays as a non-academic day and either don’t come to school or don’t take learning seriously while on campus.
- The change in routine each week creates a lot of anxiety in many of our learners.

This STEAM middle school serving grades 6-8 is located at Centennial Airport next to Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight.
