Colorado SKIES Academy Families,

Congratulations to the 2024 graduating 8th grade class! We encourage you to keep on going, even when the going gets tough. Learning is a lifelong enriching journey. You are the founders of our future and collectively, the beacon of hope for the betterment of our world. Thank you in advance for your tenacity and determination. We can’t wait to celebrate your future accomplishments as you continue to live our motto that the sky is not the limit when your imagination is unlimited!

We heard great reviews from the 8th graders about their glider flights at Mile High Gliding on Monday and from the 7th-grade learners about their skydiving experience at iFly on Tuesday. It is always amazing to see the classroom learning being applied in real world experiences. The week also brought the final Presentation of Learning events for all grade levels where we learned about mutations and microgravity, the aerodynamics of gliders, and heard amazing poetry at our annual 6th Grade Poetry Slam!

CSA Charter Authorization Transfer Update: The positive news continues for our charter authorization transfer! The CSI Performance Management Committee voted in favor of the Colorado Skies’ Academy charter transfer last Tuesday, May 14th! The final step is the CSI Board vote that occurs this Tuesday, May 21st after they hear the committee recommendation.

It’s hard to believe that we are in the last week of school for the year! Please be aware that grades will be finalized on May 24th and report cards will be available by Wednesday, May 29th.

We look forward to continuing the positive momentum to continue to provide the gold standard project-based learning and social-emotional learning that our kids deserve. Thank you for your continued patience and support, and please keep an eye on our CSA Community Calendar for fun events and activities to be held over the summer.

Have a great week!

In gratitude, Directors Coryell and Motley
