Dear Colorado SKIES Academy Families,
Please be on the lookout for your learner’s Winter MAP test results to come home this week. We recognize that testing can cause anxiety and apprehension in some kids, and we appreciate our learners’ perseverance and effort to complete their tests. The data we glean from the results is invaluable and will help each of our learners get the scaffolding and support they need to succeed.
As mentioned last week, we are starting to prepare for the 2024-25 School Year. We need our current CSA Families to complete the Intent to Return/Not Return process, found here, by December 31, 2023.
Starting in January, CSA would like to host Speed, Multidirectional Agility, Quickness, and Strength Training on Tuesdays with the assistance of Elite Speed Sports Performance. This is the same organization that has been co-coaching the Athletic Development program with Coach Cronin on Thursdays. Elite Speed trainers offer physiological, biomechanical, and interpersonal relationship building that isn’t found in any other public school programs.
For the partnership to be financially feasible for CSA, we need at least 10 learners to participate in the class each week. If your learner wants to participate in this speed, agility & strength training program, please email info@coloradoskiesacademy.org.
Please read the articles in this week’s message including an update from Coach Cronin about Athletic Development, the many ways to support CSA, a reminder about the Wingman for a Day program, details about upcoming events, and more.
In gratitude,
Directors Coryell and Motley
