CMAS Assessment Information

During the month of April, Colorado SKIES Academy will be completing the state testing for learners in grades 6-8. The CMAS English Language Arts and Math tests are administered for all three grades. Eighth-grade learners will also complete the CMAS Science test.

Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests are the only common measuring tool for learners in grades 6 through 8 in Colorado. Participation is important because results help us understand whether learners have mastered the content standards, as well as allows teachers to reflect on teaching practices and help improve education for all students. The timed setting of these assessments can also serve as valuable practice for learners in preparation of the ACT and SAT assessments they take in high school.

REVISED CSA Testing Schedule

Exemptions

If you choose to exempt your learner out of the testing for any or all of the tests, please make an appointment with Anne Wodetzki. Please call the office and Teresa will set the time with you.

Snacks for Testing

Click here for the Amazon list for CMAS snacks. Each learner will need at least 6 to 8 snacks throughout the tests so we appreciate everyone pitching in. We are excited to show the amazing growth that our school has made and fueling their bodies in between tests will be helpful.

Thank you in advance, please look at the delivery date so nothing arrives over spring break, but you can ship them directly to the school. We will need them starting in April, you can also make a Costco, Sam’s Club, or any store run.
