Life is busy, traffic is zero fun, and it is often necessary for our learners to leave school early. We have noticed an increase in students leaving early, especially after 2:45 pm. Our facilitators are struggling to keep their classes focused on learning due to the distraction of the high number of pages, phone calls, and walkie calls to locate kids to go home at this time.
In order to provide as calm and stable a learning environment as possible, we will no longer be using pages or walkie calls to locate learners who are leaving early. This change may increase parent wait time. Thank you for your patience as we work to support our wonderful facilitators and encourage all our learners to focus on learning!
Colorado SKIES Academy is a free public charter school authorized by the Cherry Creek School District, open to students throughout the Arapahoe County and Douglas County areas.
This STEAM middle school serving grades 6-8 is located at Centennial Airport next to Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight.
