Thank you for the warm welcome to Colorado SKIES Academy. On behalf of Maker Learning Network, it is a pleasure to serve you as the Transition Administrator. Maker Learning Network has an outstanding reputation as they partner with organizations across the country, extending support for facilitators, families, and learners. I am honored to partner with the Colorado SKIES Academy community to offer support, encourage, inspire, and move toward greatness.
Colorado SKIES Academy is full of opportunity and learning potential. I am in awe of the vision, planning, and resources available for learners as they explore aerospace, innovations, project-based learning, and beyond.
In my 30+ years as an educator, I have enjoyed being a school administrator, teacher, and facilitator, at both elementary and middle school levels. Currently, Indiana is my home base, where I live with my husband. We have three adult children and three grandchildren.
My passion is to collaborate with teams to provide educational opportunities for innovative, engaging, and rigorous learning. It is exciting to work alongside the CSA team to value all learners and encourage them to wonder, dream, and become their best selves.
It has been a joy to get to know the entire community, especially the learners, their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible along this journey. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns at the following email: anne.wodetzki@worldover.org.
Just a few reminders for the future.
CMAS will be conducted on April 14 for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, and on April 15 for 8th graders only. More information will be sent via email in the near future.
Occasionally your learner will forget their lunch, and we understand. We have a few extra lunches in the main office; however, we have quite a few learners who forget daily. The new protocol will be that parents/guardians will receive a phone call for authorization to give their learner a lunch from the office. We are hoping that in doing this, we will have fewer learners forgetting lunches. If your learner forgets their lunch, please refrain from ordering Uber Eats, GrubHub, etc., or bringing food for other learners. For health reasons and possible allergies, we’re unable to allow learners to share food with others.
Finally, please join us April 21 from 6:30-8:30 PM MT, for a virtual spacey paint event to support our learners’ DreamUp to Space Launch Teams!
