Dear CSA Families,
We wanted to inform you that a second case of measles has recently been confirmed in the state of Colorado. All schools, including Colorado Skies Academy, have been notified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
While there are currently no known cases at our school, we are asking all families to be extra vigilant. If your learner is experiencing any possible symptoms of measles, please seek medical attention promptly.
Common symptoms of measles include:
- High fever
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Red, watery eyes
- A red rash that typically starts on the face and spreads downward
If your learner shows any of these symptoms, please keep them home and consult your healthcare provider. We appreciate your partnership in helping keep our school community safe and healthy.
Colorado SKIES Academy is a free public charter school authorized by the Cherry Creek School District, open to students throughout the Arapahoe County and Douglas County areas.
This STEAM middle school serving grades 6-8 is located at Centennial Airport next to Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight.
