Colorado SKIES Academy Families,
Lots to fill you in about upcoming events at CSA over the next few weeks. A reminder that CMAS testing will be completed at CSA this week. Find out the details here including the daily schedule for testing. A friendly reminder that we’d appreciate healthy snacks donated if you’re able. Thank you for your consideration. If you are choosing to opt your learners out of CMAS testing, please don’t bring them to school on testing days.
If you’d like to purchase a class picture of your learner’s Flight Crew (Advisory), please visit mylifetouch.com and use the CSA school id EVTNJGTBW. The Lifetouch code for yearbook orders should be working so if you’d like to order one, please visit ybpay.com and use our unique school code 14730924.
As some of you are aware, CSA submitted a charter authorization transfer application to Colorado Charter School Institute a couple of weeks ago. As part of the application process, CSA is required to host a geographic meeting in the community once the application has been deemed complete. CSA’s Geographic Community Meeting will take place this Thursday, April 11 at 5:30 pm in the Village. CSA will be sharing information about the proposed transfer and change in authorizer and address questions and concerns from the community. A CSI representative will be in attendance.
As mentioned in last week’s message, CSA is hiring for the 2024-2025 school year. You can find out more about the positions we need to fill and how to get involved here. If you’d like to participate in the Star Search event on April 17th, please email christa.coryell@csacs.org or info@csacs.org. We’d like to have at least three parents present for the day to give us their feedback on the candidates, and you’re welcome to join us for any or all of the day!
Also please be sure to thoroughly review the CSA Community Calendar. There have been quite a few events added, including each grade level’s end-of-year experience field trip (6th, 7th, 8th Day 1 & 8th Day 2), the all-school Boondocks field trip, 8th grade graduation, and more. The last Presentation of Learning days have also been added to the calendar (6th POL: Poetry Slam, 7th POL: Mutations/Microgravity, 8th POL: Glider Planes).
Have a great week!
In gratitude,
Directors Coryell and Motley
