Colorado SKIES Academy Families,
As promised, last week was jam-packed with Spring MAP testing, 6th and 7th-grade Presentation of Learning events, and Learner-Led Conferences. The end of the quarter is upon us, so please remind your learner that all missing or late assignments for Quarter 3 need to be turned in by March 11th. We will spend the shortened week finishing up work and holding make-up MAP testing. Also, a friendly reminder that there is no school for learners on Friday, March 15th.
We are excited to celebrate Women’s History Month in March, will be using NASA facts as inspiration for discussion with learners, and will continue our social-emotional learning practices. We are committed to ensuring our students learn to lead, be self-directed, and develop their emotional IQ in a way that inspires creativity and engagement in their coursework. We believe it’s vital to help learners develop the skills of social awareness, self-management, regulation of emotions, and self-awareness early so they can begin to weave these abilities through every facet of their lives.
Please read the articles in this week’s message including an update from Nurse Emma, details about the Quarter 4 Cooking Club on Mondays, the latest news from Athletic Development, upcoming events details, and more.
Have a great week!
In gratitude,
Directors Coryell and Motley
