The School Accountability Committee, or SAC, is an extremely important part of governance for any school. It includes an administrator, at least one facilitator, at least 3 parents of learners enrolled at the school, at least 1 adult member of a parent-teacher-student association (like our PAC), and 1 adult member of the community involved in business within the community boundaries. This committee will meet regularly and be responsible for making recommendations to the Directors about school priorities for spending, programs or changes to improve learner achievement and performance, and assisting with implementing plans at the school and increasing parent engagement with the direction of the school.
