Monday message 05.13.2019

Dear Colorado SKIES Academy Parents and Supporters,

Colorado SKIES Academy is proud to work with Because Learning! They bring dynamic and engaging lessons across the curriculum with a specific focus in the areas of Earth and Space, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Coding, Engineering, and Math. Our facilitators will be working closely with these programs to help design lessons to engage our learners.

We are using the arduino (small microprocessor) and sensor units for data collection and analysis. This project introduces our learners to skills and concepts related to electronics, engineering, data collection and analysis, mathematics, coding, and innovation, which are naturally developed as a result of this project.

This is aimed at answering the question, “When will we ever use this math?” We have partnered with them in the past to develop a small payload for our glider project so kids are collecting data during their flights! Check out Because Learning TODAY!

As always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email zach.vine@coloradoskiesacademy.org.

Thank you so much for your support. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Warm Regards,
Zach Vine M.Ed, Director of Staff and Learner Programs
