Message from the Director

Hello, Colorado SKIES Families!

As all of our learners enjoy a well-deserved Fall Break, we are already preparing for their return. On Tuesday, October 22nd, Lifetouch will be taking school pictures from 8-10:30 a.m. A flier was sent home with your learner on Friday, October 12th. Please know that extra Lifetouch fliers are in the Main Office if you need another one.

Thank you to all of the learners and families who participated in the Individualized Learning Plan meetings! As you have all experienced, an ILP is different from any conference experience you have had. It is our goal at Colorado SKIES Academy to help our learners set clear goals, identify clear action steps to accomplish them, and monitor their progress in attaining those goals over a set period of time. Then, CSA learners need to be able to clearly articulate why they set a particular goal, and describe and support the work they did in achieving the goal. It is essential that CSA learners are equipped with this skill when they enter high school so they are prepared to take that important next step.

Warm regards,
Suzanne Acheson
School Director
