What kind of testing does CSA do throughout the school year?

Colorado SKIES Academy does interim testing using MAPs (Measures of Academic Progress) three times per year, the beginning of the year, February, and May. At the beginning of the year, the assessment identifies those learners who are accelerated and also identifies any gaps in learning that can create issues. Facilitators use the information along with Khan Academy, to provide learners with the support they need to learn essential content. The February assessment is used to determine growth from the beginning of the year and to prepare learners for the CMAS testing in April. The May assessment provides CSA with valuable information about the preparedness of learners for the coming school year. This assessment helps CSA evaluate grade-level readiness for the next school year.
